Failed to Attend & Late Cancellation Policy

We always endeavour to manage our appointment system to minimise loss of surgery time through cancellations & failed appointments.

We appreciate that sometimes it’s difficult to attend an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness & we understand that occasionally the appointment you booked may no longer be convenient. However, we ask that 48 hour notice is given when cancelling your appointment as far as is possible. Please ensure you call the practice during our opening hours of Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5pm, if you are unable to keep your appointment.

Due to the demand of appointments & in order we continue to provide a quality service to all our patients we reserve the right to charge a late cancellation fee for cancellations made with less than 48hrs notice. Whilst we keep this fee to a minimum & do not aim to recover the complete costs for the time lost, the fee will be based on the hourly rates of the dentist & hygienist.

Failed to attend (FTA) fees will normally be charged at 100% of the appointment as we cannot fill this appointment. The fee will be charged to the patients account as an amount outstanding to be paid at the next appointment. An appropriate FTA letter will be sent to the patient also.
